Writing Quotes

So, today's a great day for writing quotes. This morning I was watching Hawaii 5-0 (the OLD one) while I ran on the treadmill. In it, a reporter quoted Benjamin Franklin:

"Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing."

I love it.

Then I read an interview with Anna Quindlen.  She quoted H.L.Mencken, who said that a writer should...

"Comfort the afflicted, and afflict the comfortable."

Inspires me to go out and afflict some people.  :)

Both quotes have a similar structure, and I heard them both in the same day.  Interesting lesson on rhetoric.
