Czech "Tramping"

I love the four-seasons beauty of the Czech Republic and the people's great love of nature.  It's one of my favorite things about living there.

For a little more about it, see my article on Czech "Tramping" in In the Know Traveler.

  1. So you like to backpack and stay in hostels in the Czech Republic, but you also like to go on expensive pleasure cruises? One or the other of the two things seems to be out of character.

Both activities are also very dangerous. I know this from watching the movies Hostel and Titanic.

  2. Yes, it does seem that either my backpacking or my cruising is out of character, but let's just say I love travel in all its forms. :)

Plus, cruises aren't as expensive as you think. When you get a good deal, it's about the same per day as backpacking in Western Europe (as long as you don't go on expensive shore excursions). For that similar price, you get WAY more luxury. More then I've ever experienced.

And yes, "Hostel" and "Titanic" give extremely accurate information about the dangers of these hobbies. I am warned.
